Get Along Lil' Doggies

This weekend we are packing up and heading to Clinton, Arkansas for the National Chuck Wagon Races....This sounds like so much fun. Mom and Dad left out this morning. Bambi, myself, our four kids and three horses are heading out tomorrow evening. Randy and Ted are planning on driving down Friday night if all goes well with the hay (keep your fingers crossed). Randy's friends Bill and Jeanna are going Thursday along with her dad. We are really looking forward to this trip.

They not only have Chuck Wagon races, they have a snowy river race(pictured below), bronc fanning, trail rides, barrel racing, a ranch rodeo, dances, concerts, horsemanship clinics and many other activities. They say the vendors at the races are unbelievable. I can't wait to experience the Chuck Wagon races for the first time.

By the end of the weekend, we may be a little saddle sore, but I think we will have a really good time.

SO THANKFUL!!!

For the last week I have felt so thankful for family and friends. I feel like God has blessed me with wonderful people in my life and at times I take that blessing for granted.
I don't feel I have ever been one to get wrapped up in material things; however, the reality is I have not always appreciated the humble blessings God has bestowed upon me. Finally, my eyes are open and I realize that there are so many less fortunate people.

I am thankful for my kids, my family, shelter, my job, food on the table, a car that runs and has gas in the tank, and a little change in my pocket.

I just want all those special people in my life to know how much I appreciate them. Thanks for everything.
It seems that so often, we get wrapped up in the fast pace of life and forget to appreciate the little things.

Alive and Kickn'

Jackson was fun. Maddie didn't qualify for the finals this year, but she did well. Kylee, one of our friends did qualify. Congratulations Kylee you did GREAT!!!

In the picture above, the NBHA photographer snapped Maddie and Cheyenne getting ready for the Frisbee toss. Every contestant gets a chance to toss a Frisbee on top of a barrel to win money. However, all 1100 youth contestants toss their Frisbee at the same time.

Every year they hold a spirit parade. Each state chooses a theme and marches into the arena throwing anything and everything into the stands. Oklahoma's theme was Turn and Burn Like an Oklahoma Twister. We wore red shirts with the Okie logo on it. This photo has Jamie, Auston, Maddie, Randy, and myself in it. This photo was taken by the NBHA photographer. For the second year in a row Florida won the spirit parade. This year they had a Disney World theme. Each contestant was dressed in a different Disney character outfit. it was cute.

Roy and Randi Jo Marching in the Parade!

The Oklahoma twister a man made by turning a Christmas Tree upside down. Tyler is in this picture to the left with the black hat on. Maddie is next to him.

I have more pictures I would love to share, but don't have them downloaded yet. Hope to get them posted soon.
